Rob Kapito is the Co-Founder and President of BlackRock, one of the largest investment management companies across the globe. A power center within the world's largest asset manager, Kapito has assumed several senior leadership roles within BlackRock. He is a recognized industry leader in portfolio management, and is a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee. He is also responsible for day-to-day oversight of BlackRock’s key operating units, including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Kapito is a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee.
He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of all of BlackRock's key operating units including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Kapito is also a Director of iShares Inc.
He oversees BlackRock’s biggest entities, including the $2.3 trillion iShares exchange-traded-fund franchise, its $2.1 trillion in actively managed assets, and the Aladdin risk-management unit.
Prior to his current role, he was Head of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group, responsible for overseeing all portfolio management within BlackRock, including the Fixed Income, Equity, Liquidity, and Alternative Investment Groups.
