Thomas Trowbridge is an entrepreneur and business builder, known as the Co-founder of Fluence Labs, a developer of decentralized computing protocol and programming language optimized for building, hosting and running peer-to-peer applications. Tom is also a Board Member of Stronghold Digital Mining, and was President of Hedera Hashgraph from inception, currently the most used distributed ledger with over 4 million transactions a day. Tom is passionate about driving education regarding blockchain, Bitcoin and the great promise of distributed systems. An advocate for decentralized systems and distributed ledger/blockchain technology, he believes that open-source tools provide the best opportunity to build fairer, more transparent, and higher-functioning societies, government, and business ecosystems. He started his career financing telecom and technology companies at Bear, Stearns & Co. and then began investing in early-stage technology companies at the private equity and venture capital firm Alta Communications.
