Bobby Jain is an investment guru and the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Jain Global, a multi-manager hedge fund and global investment management firm. Previously, he was Co-Chief Investment Officer at Millennium Management, one of the largest alternative asset management firms in the world. He was responsible for the company's investment process, including risk management, strategy and capital allocation. Prior to Millennium, he spent 20 years in various roles at Credit Suisse, including Global Head of Asset Management, Co-Head of Global Securities, and Global Head of Proprietary Trading across equities and fixed income. He began his career at O'Connor & Associates as an Options Trader. Bobby is the Founder of the Jain Family Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to applied research in the social sciences field. He is a dedicated philanthropist who sits on numerous philanthropic and industry bodies.

JAIN GLOBAL

  • Jain Global is one of the hottest trends in the financial world right now, bringing together several established hedge fund managers under one umbrella.

  • The hedge fund came up short in its bid to be crowned the industry's largest ever launch, failing to reach its original $8bn to $10bn fundraising target. 

  • The firm is now targeting a July 2024 launch with $5bn to $6bn in assets. 

  • The firm will be located in Manhattan and also plans to acquire offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.


JAIN FAMILY INSTITUTE

  • The institute aims to develop and implement effective solutions that will have a significant impact on pressing problems. 

  • The organization operates as a research accelerator, encouraging the application of innovative policy ideas in real-world situations.


PHILANTHROPY

  • He sits on various philanthropic and industry bodies, including the Board of Harvard Management Corporation and The Investor Advisory Committee of the New York Federal Reserve.

  • Together with his wife Carola, he established the Jain Cornell Promise Scholarship, a $1 million endowment to the College of Arts and Sciences that will support Black A&S students with demonstrated need and others who enhance Cornell’s diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • He sponsors the Robert Jain Faculty Renewal Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell. 

  • He has promoted secondary educational excellence in the New York City schools through The Jain Family Foundation.
