Nicolas Namias is the Chief Executive Officer of Natixis and Chairman of Groupe BPCE, the second-largest banking group in France and the fourth-largest in the eurozone by capital. A seasoned financial leader, Namias began his career at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he worked in the Treasury Department preparing international financial summits before serving as Deputy Government Commissioner to the Financial Markets Authority (AMF). He later became Advisor to the Prime Minister of France, focusing on economic policy, corporate financing, and international economic affairs. Nicolas Namias has built a distinguished career within Groupe BPCE and Natixis, holding several key leadership roles over the years.
He first joined Groupe BPCE in 2008 as Head of Steering for Commercial Banking and Insurance, where he helped shape the group’s strategic direction.
In 2012, he was appointed Advisor to the Prime Minister of France, focusing on economic financing, corporate development, and international economic affairs.
Returning to Natixis in 2017, Namias became Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the senior management committee. The following year, in 2018, he was elevated to CFO of Groupe BPCE and joined its management board.
In 2020, he was named Chief Executive Officer of Global Financial Services, overseeing both Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Natixis Investment Managers (IM), while serving on the management board of Groupe BPCE.
