Michael Finke is a nationally recognized expert in wealth management, retirement income planning, and financial decision-making. He is a Professor of Wealth Management and holds the Frank M. Engle Distinguished Chair in Economic Security at The American College of Financial Services, where he conducts research and teaches the next generation of financial professionals. Finke is also the Co-Founder of IncomePath, a specialized retirement income planning software and methodology designed to help advisors and retirees build sustainable income strategies. His research focuses on retirement spending, life satisfaction, cognitive aging, the value of financial advice, financial planning regulation, and individual investor behavior. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed academic articles and is widely regarded as a leading authority in retirement research and applied financial planning. A highly respected educator, Finke has received numerous teaching awards across a broad range of financial planning disciplines, from undergraduate personal finance to doctoral-level research methods. Prior to joining The American College of Financial Services, he served as Professor and PhD Coordinator in the Department of Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University and as Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Missouri.
