Leland Clemons is the Founder and CEO of BondBloxx, the first ETF issuer exclusively dedicated to meeting the needs of fixed income investors. A seasoned ETF industry leader and recognized innovator in capital markets, Clemons has been instrumental in driving market structure reforms that improve transparency and designing exchange trading rules that better serve investors. Before founding BondBloxx in 2021, he held senior executive roles across leading financial institutions, including serving as CEO of VettaFi, Head of Fixed Income and Derivatives at Tradeweb Europe, and Global Head of Markets and Investment Strategy at BlackRock iShares, where he played a key role in growing ETF assets from under $100 billion to more than $2 trillion.

EARLY CAREER
Before founding BondBloxx, Clemons held senior leadership roles across major financial institutions.
As Head of Fixed Income and Derivatives at Tradeweb Europe, he accelerated growth across credit, rates, and automated execution products, including the rollout of portfolio trading in European credit markets.
At BlackRock iShares, he served as Global Head of Markets and Investment Strategy, where he was instrumental in scaling ETF assets from under $100 billion to more than $2 trillion.
Earlier in his career, Clemons was Vice President of Business Development & Trading Strategy at Van der Moolen and an Associate at The Blueshirt Group, gaining foundational experience in trading, strategy, and investor relations.
