John Mousseau is the Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer at Cumberland Advisors, a leading independent registered investment advisory firm. With more than 40 years of experience in investment management, Mousseau oversees the firm’s overall investment strategy, portfolio management, and performance across client accounts. He joined Cumberland in 2000 after serving as Director of Municipal Bond Investments at Lord Abbett & Company, where he managed tax-exempt bond portfolios. Earlier in his career, he held key roles at Shearson Lehman Brothers and E.F. Hutton, specializing in fixed-income and municipal markets. A recognized authority in municipal bond investing, Mousseau frequently speaks at major financial industry conferences and has served as a guest lecturer at Florida International University, Oxford University, Roger Williams University, and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. He is also the co-author of Adventures in Muniland, a widely regarded guide to the municipal bond market.
