Chris Perkins is President and Managing Partner of CoinFund, a crypto-native investment firm and registered investment advisor focused on decentralization technologies. He actively participates in the investment process, delivers enterprise scale, and bridges the gap between Web3 and traditional finance. Prior to joining CoinFund, he served as Global Co-Head of Futures, Clearing and Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage businesses at Citigroup, where he was responsible for delivering leading listed derivative electronic and voice execution, comprehensive central clearing and #1 ranked OTC Clearing and FXPB services to top institutional clients. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, his nine-year military career included service in Iraq during the Global War on Terrorism. Today, Perkins is also a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Global Markets Advisory Committee and its Digital Asset Markets Subcommittee.

  • During his tenure, Citi was widely recognized as the global leader in clearing hundreds of trillions of dollars and safeguarding ≈$40 billion in client assets. 

  • He was the Global Head of FXPB of Citi in 2018, where he worked closely with numerous global regulators to architect and execute a comprehensive restructuring and integration plan across multiple geographies. 

  • Prior to joining Citi in 2008, he served as the U.S. Head of Derivatives Intermediation at Lehman Brothers managing a portfolio of  $100+ billion.


  • He spent nine years in the United States Marine Corps, most recently as a Captain and Commanding Officer.

  • He launched Veterans In Digital Assets, a nonprofit initiative focused on identifying employment opportunities for vets in the Digital Asset and crypto space.

  • He is the co-founder of Veterans on Wall Street, a national initiative focused on veterans employment and empowerment.
