Barry Banister is a Managing Director and Chief Equity Strategist for Stifel, one of the nation's leading full-service investment banking and financial services firms. In his role, Barry leads the firm’s Equity macro and sector strategy research, providing investment research to financial institutions globally in the areas of engineering, machinery, and associated strategy related to commodity markets served by companies in those industries. He has been an Equity research analyst for over 33 years, primarily covering the machinery, construction and engineering sectors. Previously, he was an analyst at Legg Mason Capital Markets, S.G. Warburg & Co., First Tennessee Investment Management, and AmSouth Investment Management (now Regions Financial).
