Peter Van Valkenburgh
Peter Van Valkenburgh is the Executive Director of Coin Center, the leading nonprofit research and advocacy organization focused on cryptocurrency policy and regulation. At Coin Center, he drafts regulatory comments, shapes the Center’s research agenda, and engages with policymakers on the public policy issues surrounding Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other decentralized technologies. A self-taught designer and coder, Van Valkenburgh has built a strong network of academics, experts, and industry leaders in the cryptocurrency space. Widely regarded as an authority on digital asset regulation, he has testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee as well as the House Financial Services and Energy and Commerce Committees, making him an influential voice in the crypto policy landscape.
