Jonathan Morris is Chief Legal and Governance Officer of Dynasty Financial Partners, a leading provider of wealth management and technology platforms for select independent financial advisory firms. He is responsible for overseeing all legal, compliance and governance matters for the firm. Jon has more than 30 years of experience advising both investment advisors and broker dealers. Prior to joining Dynasty, he was Co-head of Broker Dealer, Investment Adviser Practice Group at Day Pitney. Previously, he was a Managing Director, General Counsel and Head of Governance for Barclays Wealth where he supported the expansion of Barclays into the private wealth management business in the Americas. Jon is a member of SIFMA, frequently speaks at industry events, and has written several articles on investment management related matters.

At Barclays Wealth, Jon was also a Member of the Executive Committee and Head of New Products and Risk Committees.
Prior to Barclays, he was Managing Director and General Counsel for Lehman Brothers Investment Management Division.
While at Lehman Brothers, he was also Co-chair of New Products and a member of the Private Client Executive Committee.
Jon began his career at Seward & Kissel in New York.
He is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
He received his JD from Fordham University Law School and BA from Washington & Lee University.
