Eric has over 20 years of experience researching, designing, and managing alternative asset portfolios on behalf of families, individuals, financial advisors, and other institutional investors. He believes using an all-wealth approach is the most effective way to prepare for a wide range of market environments, while producing meaningful investment returns with limited downside risk. Prior to Standpoint, he was Chief Investment Officer of Longboard Asset Management, where he drove the firm’s focus on offering high quality alternative mutual funds that seek to deliver long term results.

Eric has spent his career with trend following strategies. He has expertise in systematic trading in both mutual funds and hedge funds.
Prior to Standpoint and Longboard Asset Management, he was Director of Research for Blackstar Funds, where he focused on managed futures and long/short equities.
He was a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager for a Kansas-based family office and an Arizona-based hedge fund.
Aside from creating sound investment strategies, his ability to simplify and communicate complex topics is what sets him apart from other investment managers.
