Managed Futures
Managed futures are alternative investments consisting of a portfolio of futures contracts that are actively managed by professionals. These are often used by funds and institutional investors to provide both portfolio and market diversification. According to modern portfolio theory, managed futures are ideal investments to round out a portfolio as the performance of managed futures tends to be weakly or inversely correlated with traditional stock and bond markets.
