Chase Lochmiller is the Co-Founder and CEO of Crusoe Energy, a leading clean-computing company building next-generation infrastructure for artificial intelligence. A lifelong technology enthusiast, Lochmiller is recognized as both an AI datacenter innovator and a clean-energy pioneer, driven by a mission to use advanced technologies to create meaningful real-world impact. Before launching Crusoe, he served as a General Partner at Polychain Capital, a multi-billion-dollar fund focused on digital assets and blockchain innovation. He also built a strong technical foundation as a Quantitative Researcher and Trader at Jump Trading and GETCO, where he developed and managed sophisticated algorithmic trading strategies. In addition to his leadership at Crusoe, Lochmiller plays a prominent role in shaping the future of global AI infrastructure as a key figure in the first phase of the Stargate Project, a landmark $500 billion initiative backed by OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, and other major partners.

Under Chase Lochmiller’s leadership, Crusoe Energy has grown into a multidisciplinary team of over 300 professionals across engineering, technology, business development, finance, law, and operations.
He has successfully guided the company through more than $600 million in fundraising from venture, project, and credit capital, most recently securing $3.4 billion in joint venture funding to support one of the largest AI datacenter projects in the world.
Today, Crusoe has emerged as a leading energy-driven AI infrastructure company, designing, building, and operating large-scale AI datacenters.
In addition, Lochmiller leads the Stargate Project, a landmark $500 billion initiative backed by OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, and other major partners, aiming to develop the hyperscale infrastructure for next-generation artificial intelligence.
EARLY CAREER & ACHIEVEMENTS
Before founding Crusoe Energy, Lochmiller served as Portfolio Manager and Head of Trade Execution at Polychain Capital, joining when the firm managed $25 million and leaving as it surpassed $1 billion in assets under management.
He also built a strong technical and quantitative foundation as a Quantitative Researcher and Trader at Jump Trading, managing proprietary algorithmic trading strategies, and as Managing Director and Head of Algorithmic Trading at GETCO, where the firm routinely executed over 10% of daily U.S. stock market volume.
Recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership, Chase Lochmiller was named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2021 at the Builders + Innovators Summit.
