Adam White is a Senior Advisor at The Blackstone Group, the world’s largest alternative asset manager. He provides expert advice across the firm’s businesses with an emphasis on Blackstone Growth, the firm's growth equity investing platform. Adam has extensive experience as a senior leader and entrepreneur in the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology space. Prior to joining Blackstone, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Bakkt, the digital asset and rewards platform, where he was responsible for the strategic direction, P&L, and day-to-day operations for the company. Before that, he was Vice President and General Manager of Coinbase, where he was one of the earliest employees. At Coinbase, he was originally leading business development and strategy and later their exchange and institutional products. Adam served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Test Engineer from 2006 to 2011 and is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Adam joined Bakkt in 2018 as a Founding Executive. He focused on digital asset markets, custody, and trading, as well as Bakkt's strategic direction.
Under his leadership, Bakkt partnered with Starbucks to enable customers to reload their card and buy coffee with Bitcoin.
