Will Braman is a Partner, Chief Investment Officer, and Senior Investment Advisor of Ballentine Partners, a client-centric investment and wealth management firm. He is responsible for leading the firm’s investment team and managing the investment process. Will has over 35 years of experience in investment management, and more than 25 years in executive leadership roles within asset management companies. A successful leader of global investment management organizations, Will has strong general management competencies and deep knowledge of the investment management industry, with a comprehensive understanding of operational, financial, and compliance and risk functions. Prior to joining Ballentine, Will was the CEO of the Americas for Fortis Investments until its acquisition by BNP Paribas. He also spent nearly 20 years with Baring Asset Management, where he rose to the position of CIO in London, after a long tenure as the Head of the Boston-based investment team.

  • At Fortis Investments, he led a team of 130 professionals in the firm's expansion into North and South America.

  • He also served as Chief Investment Officer for John Hancock Advisers, where he led the team responsible for more than $30B in assets.

  • At Barings, he was a member of the executive management committee responsible for equity and fixed income teams in multiple countries.

  • He earned a BA in Economics from Bucknell University where he was a member of the Finance Committee.
