Stephanie Pierce is Deputy Head of BNY Investments, responsible for the Dreyfus money market business, the Mellon index business and BNY Advisors, which provides customized client solutions. Pierce is an entrepreneurial investment management veteran and industry leader with over 30 years of experience in the asset management and private banking industries. Prior to joining BNY, she was Executive Vice President of the Investment Product Group at Fidelity Investments, where she led product strategy, thought leadership and institutional portfolio management for Fidelity’s asset management business. Before that, she was Senior Vice President, Product Management, Business Development and Client Portfolio Management at Janus Henderson Investors. She also spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs with increasing responsibility in the investment management, investment research and securities divisions. In addition to BNY, Pierce is an accomplished speaker and author who has published numerous research briefs and white papers.

She also manages the chief business office for BNY Investments, including strategic infrastructure, governance and controls, and centralized operations functions as well as coordination with affiliates ARX Investments and Siguler Guff.
She served as CEO of ETF, Index and Cash Investment Strategies at BNY Mellon Investment Management, responsible for developing the firm’s sponsored ETF offering as well as the index and money markets businesses.

EARLY CAREER

Pierce led Fidelity's integrated Investment Product organization responsible for approximately $2 trillion of investments across the institutional, intermediary, and retail distribution channels.
She also led Fidelity's investment product strategy and development for over 500 mutual funds, over 100 institutional composites and collective investment trusts, and 15 exchange traded funds across all asset classes in both active and passive disciplines.
As Senior Vice President for Janus Henderson Investors, she raised over $4 billion in new assets in Janus strategies and retained over $35 billion in Janus-managed assets.
She was Vice President and Senior Portfolio Advisor for Goldman Sachs where she led a team of advisors to PWM clients, encompassing over 50 investment products.
