Jake Hanrahan is an independent journalist and filmmaker focused on war and conflict, particularly on militia forces, parliamentarians, as well as guerilla warfare. Jake covers conflict, crime, and politics all over the world. He has worked for HBO, VICE News, Esquire, Frontline PBS, ProPublica, Harpers, BBC News, The Guardian, and Wired, among others. He has reported from Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, southeast Turkey, Palestine, Karabakh, Peru, Hong Kong, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, and more. Jake is best known for his work in covering the Kurdish militant group, Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). He runs a grassroots independent media platform called Popular Front and has another podcast "Q-Clearance: The Hunt for QAnon."
