Divya Narendra is the Founder and CEO of SumZero, the world’s largest online community for professional buy-side investors, providing a platform for peer-reviewed investment research, idea sharing, and networking. He is widely recognized for his role in the early development of Facebook, stemming from his co-founding of ConnectU alongside Harvard classmates Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and the subsequent legal dispute with Mark Zuckerberg. Prior to launching SumZero, Divya built his expertise in finance as an Associate at Sowood Capital Management, a $3.5 billion multi-strategy hedge fund, where he evaluated investment opportunities across the capital structure. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Analyst in the M&A Group at Credit Suisse in New York City.

SUMZERO
Under Narendra’s leadership, SumZero has grown into the world’s largest online community for professional investors—including hedge fund, mutual fund, and private equity analysts—designed to facilitate peer-reviewed investment research, idea sharing, and career development within the buy-side community.
The platform now hosts thousands of rigorously vetted professionals and provides services such as proprietary investment idea sharing, capital introduction, and job placement support, contributing to over $400 million in allocations to featured investment managers.
In 2004, Narendra and Harvard classmates Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss accused Mark Zuckerberg of misappropriating their idea and code for what would become Facebook.
They alleged that Zuckerberg initially agreed to help develop their social networking site, ConnectU, but instead launched Facebook using their concepts.
The legal dispute culminated in a 2008 settlement reportedly worth $65 million in cash and Facebook stock.
Narendra’s role in the Facebook story was later portrayed by actor Max Minghella in the 2010 David Fincher film The Social Network.
