Sir Christopher Hohn is one of the most prominent philanthropists and activist investors in the world. Hohn is a well-known hedge fund manager and the Founder, Managing Partner, CEO and Portfolio Manager of The Children's Investment Fund, a prominent value-based hedge fund, along with the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, the world's largest philanthropy that focuses on improving the lives of children in developing countries. Prior to setting up TCI, Hohn managed investment strategies for other hedge funds for almost a decade. He worked in consulting and private equity, before joining Richard Perry's hedge fund, Perry Capital. In 2014, he became a detailed Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George for his philanthropic causes and services to international development.
