Bennett Goodman built his reputation as one of the foremost innovators in private credit and leveraged finance through a series of influential leadership roles across top-tier global financial institutions.
He was the Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of GSO Capital Partners, the credit platform of The Blackstone Group (now Blackstone Credit), where he helped scale the business into a $125 billion global powerhouse in alternative credit investing.
Before GSO, he served as Managing Partner of the Alternative Capital Division at Credit Suisse, a role he assumed after the firm acquired Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ).
At DLJ, Goodman served as Global Head of Leveraged Finance and Private Equity Sponsor Coverage, and earlier founded the firm’s High Yield Capital Markets Group following his start in the high-yield sector at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
