Alex Felix is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at CoinFund, a leading crypto investment firm. As CIO, Alex leads investments into digital asset networks and companies focused on blockchain technologies and their enabling services. Prior to CoinFund, Alex spent 10 years in investing, research and structuring. He was most recently Vice President for Private Equity and Capital markets at American Capital, a private equity firm based in New York, covering LBOs and high yielding credit. He also held roles at BofA Merrill Lynch, RBS and Guggenheim Partners. Alex is an active technology angel investor and has built e-commerce algorithms. Since 2013, he has invested in over 100 blockchain focused companies and protocols.

Outside of his role as a Public Blockchain and Venture Investor, Alex is a skilled skier and was the 2007 NCAA Skiing National Champion.
EARLY CAREER
He was a credit analyst for RBS, where he managed leverage loan, mezzanine debt and equity investments across a diversified group of industries.
At RBS, he was also responsible for financial analysis, bank asset strategy, investment reviews and trade ideas.
He was a global leveraged finance and high yield analyst for BoA, where he originated high yield bonds for clients in energy, power, and general industrial sectors.
He was a real estate structured finance summer associate for Guggenheim Partners, analyzing leveraged commercial real estate development and investment opportunities.
