Steven McClurg
Steven McClurg is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Valkyrie, a specialized alternative asset management firm with a heavy presence in the digital asset sector. He is also the Co-Founder of Basquet, a collateralized digital asset backed by a basket of global currency denominated bonds. McClurg has considerable traditional finance and fintech experience, ranging from insurtech and payments to blockchain. Most recently, he was the Founder and CEO of Theseus Capital, a blockchain-powered asset management platform acquired by Galaxy Digital. After the acquisition, he continued as Managing Director of the company, building their asset management and public funds businesses. Before that, he was a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, where he was responsible for portfolio construction and strategy for fixed income and private equity as a portfolio manager.
