Ravi Malik is a Principal and Senior Portfolio Manager at SSI Investment Management, an innovative firm specializing in the active management of portfolios utilizing alternative strategies. At SSI, he oversees the daily management of the Convertible Investment portfolios and provides equity and credit research in the Technology and Emerging Markets sectors. He also collaborates with the firm’s CIO in analyzing global and macro environments and formulates strategy according to client mandates. Throughout his career, Ravi has held senior leadership positions in investment management such as Managing Director, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. He has extensive experience in conducting both quantitative and fundamental investment research. Prior to joining SSI, Ravi spent 10 years in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), India’s highest level “Think Tank” and also served as Finance Commissioner to the Andaman Islands.

  • He worked in the Government of India, where he was entrusted with macro level public policy formulation and control of financial and development administration.

  • At Andaman Islands, he formulated fiscal, credit, and budgetary policy for the province, and analyzed industries to determine tax structures.

  • He earned his MBA with concentration in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he received the Carter Award for academic excellence.

  • He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics from the Punjab University.
