Greg Kidd is a recognized tech investor, venture capitalist and Co-Founder and CEO of GlobaliD, the industry-leading self-sovereign identity provider. He is also the Founding Partner of Hard Yaka, an investment firm focused on portable identity, payments and marketplaces. Through Hard Yaka, he has served as an advisor and early investor for numerous reputable companies, including Coinbase, Shift, Ripple, Protocol Labs, Uphold, Solana Labs, and Robinhood. Previously, Kidd served as Chief Risk Officer at Ripple, an enterprise blockchain-based digital payment network and protocol. As CRO at Ripple, he navigated the fraud, compliance, regulation, and reputational challenges of digital currencies and currency exchanges.
He served as a Director of Promontory Financial Group and Senior Analyst for payments for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
He founded and took Dispatch Management Services Corp public on the Nasdaq, and created dispatch software and clearinghouse for messenger deliveries in major metro areas in the world.
He has served as an advisor and early investor for numerous reputable companies, including Coinbase, Shift, Ripple, Protocol Labs, Uphold, Solana Labs, and Robinhood. He was also an early investor of Square and Twitter.
