R. Cromwell Coulson is President, CEO and a Director of OTC Markets Group, the operator of the world's largest open, transparent and connected marketplace for over-the-counter securities. In his roles, Coulson is responsible for the company’s overall growth and strategic direction. Since acquiring OTC markets’ predecessor business in 1997 in 1997 in 1997 in 1997 in 1997, he has transformed the OTCinto a publicly-traded d company operating three public markets for 12,000 securities that traded nearly $713 billion in dollar volume annually. Coulson is a strong advocate of empowering investors with information, improving access to capital for small companies, and supporting a diverse ecosystem of broker-dealers. Previously, Coulson was an institutional traded r and portfolio manager specializing in distressed and value-oriented investments at Carr Securities, an institutional broker-dealer. He is currently the Co-chair of the STANY market Structure Committee and a former Chair of the FINRA market Regulation Committee that advises FINRA on rulemaking and trading issues.
