Art Bilger is the Founder and CEO of WorkingNation, a nonprofit organization aimed at bringing attention to the problem and the future of work. Bilger is a venture capitalist and active investor in various private companies engaged in activities where content is integrated with new technologies, with particular focus on online education, digital media, and analytics. Prior to WorkingNation, he was an Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Corporate Finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert. He has also been active in philanthropy throughout his career.

Bilger launched WorkingNation to expose hard truths about the looming unemployment crisis and create new jobs for a changing economy.
Under his leadership, the organization has partnered with award-winning directors and producers to create a wide range of compelling programming, including videos, documentary films, and digital magazines.
The organization also collaborates with policymakers, businesses, and educators to explore solutions and best practices for preparing the workforce for the jobs and industries of the future.
EARLY CAREER
Bilger was an investor and Vice Chairman of Akamai Technologies, a provider of global, high-performance services for internet content.
He was a Director of New World Communications Group, a TV production and broadcasting company.
He also served as Executive Producer for the film 20 Feet From Stardom, which won the 2013 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the 2013 award for Best Documentary at the Independent Spirit Awards.
