Bright Moments
Bright Moments is an on-chain Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) redefining the way people experience digital art through in-person NFT minting events. Founded in 2021, the collective creates immersive environments where artists and collectors collaborate to showcase and collect generative and AI-driven art. The organization is a leaderless gallery system, governed by its decentralized community, and is credited with inventing "IRL minting," a theatrical experience where an on-chain artwork is revealed for the first time in a physical setting. At the heart of the DAO is CryptoCitizens, a pixel art collection created by the artist QianQian and powered by Art Blocks. These avatars were released in batches of 1,000 and minted live at each host city. By April 2024, Bright Moments concluded its foundational 10-city global tour in Venice, Italy, completing the 10,000-piece CryptoCitizens collection. Today, these NFTs serve as the primary membership pass and governance tool for the DAO, providing holders with voting rights on future exhibitions, treasury strategy, and artist residencies.

As of early 2026, the DAO has successfully completed its foundational "ten-city journey," establishing vibrant crypto art communities in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London, Mexico City, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Venice, Italy.
Having reached its initial roadmap goals, the organization now focuses on maintaining semi-permanent galleries in these host cities and curating its premier AI Art Collection.
This collection features machine-learning works from world-renowned artists, cementing the DAO's role as a vital institution at the intersection of blockchain innovation and contemporary art.
THE CRYPTOCITIZENS ECOSYSTEM
Membership & Governance – CryptoCitizens act as the primary membership pass for the DAO, granting holders voting rights on future exhibitions, treasury allocations, and artist residencies.
IRL Minting Ritual – The collection was released in batches of 1,000 per city and could only be minted in person, ensuring that every holder has a physical connection to the gallery network.
Anthropological Design – Each sub-collection, such as the CryptoVenetians or CryptoTokyoites, is informed by deep research into the local traditions, styles, and communities of the host city.
Completed Collection – In April 2024, the 10,000th CryptoCitizen was minted during the Venice Biennale finale, completing the global network of owners who embody the DAO’s mission.

Venice Beach (Genesis) – The birthplace of the DAO where the CryptoVenetians established the "IRL minting" ritual in a physical storefront gallery.
New York & London – These stops emphasized the craftsmanship of digital art, featuring live studio audiences and the debut of the CryptoNewYorkers and CryptoLondoners.
