Sethu Bijumalla
Sethu Bijumalla is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smonik Systems, a financial software and consulting firm specializing in solutions for financial service and investment management industries. In his role, Sethu is responsible for the company's overall strategy and structure. Sethu founded Smonik with the vision of helping organizations gain significant cost and operational efficiencies. He founded the company after identifying a pressing need within the operations of fund companies for greater automation, with the goal to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and minimize operational risk. Sethu has nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, allowing him to gain a deep knowledge of investment and fund services which helped him guide Smonik’s roadmap. He also has vast experience in building software tools to help financial services clients become more efficient.

Sethu was instrumental in developing the financial industry's first Windows NT back office straight-through processing (STP) system.
Prior to founding Smonik, Sethu spent nearly a decade at Citi Hedge Fund Services, holding various engineering posts.
At Citi, he served as senior member of the firm's Windows Architecture Group which established Windows strategy across the entire Citi organization.
He holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science for Rutgers University, and has completed coursework for a second in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State university.
He also has a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering degree from Osmania University, in Hyderabad.
