Dr. Leiyu Shi is a Professor of Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research and practice center on primary care, hospitals, healthcare systems, community health centers, health disparities, and vulnerable populations. Dr. Shi has carried out extensive research about the connection between primary care and health outcomes, particularly on the role of primary care in mediating the detrimental impact of income inequality on health outcomes.
