Joseph Chalom is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of SharpLink Gaming, one of the largest Ethereum treasury companies worldwide, where he drives the firm’s global strategy at the intersection of public markets, blockchain, and Ethereum-based financial infrastructure. A fintech veteran with over 20 years of experience bridging traditional finance and digital assets, Chalom previously served as Managing Director and Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships at BlackRock, where he led the launch of the record-setting iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), the leading spot Ethereum ETF in the U.S. He also forged major institutional partnerships with Nasdaq, Coinbase, Anchorage Digital Bank, BNY Mellon, and Circle to accelerate blockchain adoption and digital asset innovation.

During his distinguished 20-year career at BlackRock, Joseph Chalom held several senior leadership roles and became one of the firm’s key figures in digital asset strategy and financial technology innovation.
He spearheaded the launch of landmark products including the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which grew into the world’s largest Bitcoin ETF, and the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), the leading spot Ethereum ETF in the U.S.
Chalom also drove BlackRock’s advancement in tokenization, leading the launch of BUIDL—the first tokenized U.S. Treasury fund built on Ethereum—and oversaw strategic alliances with Coinbase, Securitize, Anchorage Digital Bank, BNY Mellon, Circle, and other major partners driving institutional adoption of blockchain technology.
Prior to heading BlackRock’s digital assets strategy, he served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the firm and Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock Solutions, where he guided the global expansion of Aladdin, BlackRock’s flagship portfolio and risk management platform.
