Jon Pelson is a veteran telecommunications executive who has spent his career developing and marketing wireless and mobile technologies throughout the world. He is the author of the bestselling book "Wireless Wars: China's Dangerous Domination of 5G and How We're Fighting Back", a book that addresses global conflict between China and the rest of the world. After his stint on Wall Street and Madison Avenue, he joined the telecom boom of the ‘90s. His roles included serving as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Lucent Technologies and Chief Convergence Officer for British Telecom, where he created and drove the company’s global wireless strategy. A frequent public speaker at industry events and advisor to government and private organizations, Jon has lectured at Duke University, William & Mary, and other colleges and associations. In addition, Jon is an Advisory Council member at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University.

  • At British Telecom, he was also responsible for product roadmaps, market development, partnerships and technology investment.
