Guo Wengui, who also goes by the name Miles Kwok, is an exiled mainland Chinese businessman and billionaire known for launching a negative media campaign against the Chinese Communist Party. A property tycoon, Guo earned a reputation for hardball business tactics in the worlds of real estate development and investment. His highest-profile investment in Pangu Plaza, a torch-shaped building in Beijing that overlooks the Olympic Stadium. He also controls a business that owns a stake in China's Founder Securities. At the peak of his career, he was the 73rd richest person in China. After accusations of corruption and other misdeeds began bubbling up in the early 2010s, he left China and settled into self-imposed exile in the United States.
