The University of Salford is a public university leading in areas including health, energy, media, and the built environment. With approximately 20,000 students, Salford contributes enormously to the local economy, transforming individuals and communities through excellent teaching, research, innovation, and engagement.

In 2004, the University of Salford began a £150 million investment program. This included the building of the £22 million Mary Seacole Building, which now houses the College of Health and Social Care, and the Law School’s £10 million Lady Hale Building.
