Independent Diplomat is a nonprofit, non-government organization that gives advice and assistance in diplomatic strategy and technique to governments and political groups. An innovative venture in the world of international relations, ID requires its clients to be committed to democracy, human rights and the rule of law. ID advises them on political strategy, public diplomacy, and international law to make their voices heard in international negotiations. They work to bring those with the most at stake in a conflict or international problem into the decision-making process on that issue. ID holds itself and its clients to strict ethical standards, and works with a broad network of individuals and organizations, including law firms, commercial consultancies, and universities, who support and assist ID’s work on a pro bono basis.
