Sylvan Feldstein

Sylvan G. Feldstein, PhD, is a Director in the Investment Department of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, where he specializes in tax-exempt, taxable, and non-U.S. municipal bonds. He worked at Merrill Lynch, and other brokerage firms, and a former president of the Society of Municipal Analysts. Feldstein is the author of more than 40 articles and five books, including "The Handbook of Municipal Bonds," a 2008 publication that provides a comprehensive look at tax-exempt municipal bonds. He has received the 2009 Career Achievement Award from the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA), in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of municipal bond credit analysis.
