JP Aumasson is a globally recognized expert in cryptography and the Co-Founder and Chief Security Officer of Taurus SA, a Swiss fintech company specializing in enterprise-grade digital asset infrastructure. Since 2006, he has authored more than 60 research articles in the field of cryptography. He designed the widely used algorithms BLAKE2, BLAKE3 and SipHash, and has performed numerous security audits for blockchain organizations such as Filecoin, IOHK, Monero, or ZCash. He also wrote the reference books Crypto Dictionary (No Starch Press, 2020) and Serious Cryptography (No Starch Press, 2017). Aumasson previously worked more than 10 years in applied cryptography and security architecture, in academia and the Kudelski Group. In addition to his duties at Taurus SA, he serves as the Chair of the Technical Committee of the Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA).
