Chris Pavese is a Wall Street veteran and value investor, and the President and Chief Investment Officer of Broyhill Asset Management, a boutique investment firm established as a family office in 1980. He is responsible for macroeconomic research, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and individual security selection. Pavese was Vice President and Portfolio Manager for The JPMorgan Private Bank, where he managed over $1 billion in discretionary assets for high net worth individuals, trusts, endowments and foundations. He is a CFA Charterholder, Past President of the Board of the CFA Institute’s North Carolina Society.

EARLY CAREER

  • Chris trained as an architect and later switched to finance.

  • He was an Associate for JP Morgan Asset Management where he spent 5 years as a Portfolio Manager, before being recruited by the Broyhill family to manage their family office. 

  • He served as an active member of JPMorgan’s Trust & Investment Committee, where he assisted in the construction of portfolios and monitored the bank’s fiduciary relationships.
