Moscow State University is the oldest and biggest university in Russia. More than 4,000 professors and lecturers, and about 5,000 researchers work for the 39 faculties and 15 research institutes. Home to over 9 million books, MSU's library is among Russia's largest libraries and oldest university libraries. It maintains several museum collections and a botanical garden.
