The University of St. Thomas is a Catholic liberal arts university founded in 1885. Named for St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron saint of students, the university is now the largest independent university in Minnesota, with more than 10,000 students. It offers more than 100 majors and 60 minors. Most popular majors are biology, followed by psychology, nursing, finance and education. Students, engage spiritually through the campus ministry program and volunteer at local nonprofits.
