Jeffrey Tannenbaum is the Founder of Titan Grove and Fir Tree Partners. Prior to this, he dedicated his career in the private equity industry at Kohlberg & Co, beginning as the sole analyst for Jerome Kohlberg, who is considered as the founder of the modern private equity industry. Today, Tannenbaum lectures at Cambridge University, where he created the university’s first value investing course. He has chaired and served as a board member of numerous public and private companies.

  • Tannenbaum currently chairs sPower Corp, a commercial-scale solar developer and operator. 
  • Through the Fir Tree Philanthropies, he focuses on accelerating America’s energy independence and promoting sustainable capitalism through innovations in public policy, finance and entrepreneurship.
  • Through FTP, he organized the nation’s first major bi-partisan symposium focused on eliminating foreign oil dependence.
  • He hosted President Obama’s energy cabinet members for their 100-day planning retreat. 
  • He founded the not-for-profit PACENow.org which has helped develop and promote a new form of financing for energy retrofits of homes and buildings.
