International Government Organization is an organization composed of sovereign states, or other intergovernmental organizations. Established by treaty or other agreement that acts as a charter creating the group, IGOs create a mechanism for the world’s inhabitants to work more successfully together in the areas of peace and security, and also to deal with economic and social questions. IGOs present a variety of legal issues occuring in the context of a foreign country or foreign laws that often increases their complexity.
