Michael Hintze
Sir Michael Hintze is the Founder, Group Executive Chairman, and Senior Investment Officer of CQS, a global multi-strategy asset management firm. He established the Hintze Family Charitable Foundation to consolidate his significant and extensive philanthropic interests. Since its inception, nearly 200 charities have received funding from the Foundation. Hintze was granted Knighthood in 2013 in acknowledgment of his philanthropic activities in the United Kingdom.

- Born in China to Russian parents, Hintze was raised in Australia and served a 3-year stint in the army before making his way to London in the 1980s.
- He served as an officer in the Australian Army, following which he worked as an Electrical Design Engineer for Civil and Civic Pty Ltd in Australia.
- His Foundation has made significant contributions in the areas of education, culture and art, health, the armed services, and natural history, amongst others.
