R. Cromwell Coulson is President, CEO and a Director of OTC Markets Group, the operator of the world's largest open, transparent and connected marketplace for over-the-counter securities. In his roles, Coulson is responsible for the company’s overall growth and strategic direction. Since acquiring OTC Markets’ predecessor business in 1997, he has transformed the OTCinto a publicly-traded company operating three public markets for 12,000 securities that trade nearly $713 billion in dollar volume annually. Coulson is a strong advocate of empowering investors with information, improving access to capital for small companies, and supporting a diverse ecosystem of broker-dealers. Previously, Coulson was an institutional trader and portfolio manager specializing in distressed and value-oriented investments at Carr Securities, an institutional broker-dealer. He is currently the Co-chair of the STANY Market Structure Committee and a former Chair of the FINRA Market Regulation Committee that advises FINRA on rulemaking and trading issues.
