Bank Loans are loans made by a bank to businesses.

  • usually have a duration of 5 years or less
  • tend to have little interest rate risk
  • usually are at a floating interest rate
  • The creditors tend to be small-medium businesses that are too small to tap the public debt markets
  • The creditors tend to be smaller and considered riskier
